House History Request Form
Do you need assistance researching your home in Ridgewood? Use the form below to send us your street address and any details you have on your house already. We will research the history of your home using the resources at the Ridgewood Public Library. For a $25 fee, we’ll do an initial research assessment of your home. We will then contact you to determine what type of write up you would like to receive. Turn around time can be within 3-6 months.
There is no fee if you are requesting a time to meet with the Local History Librarian to get started on your research, or if you are requesting assistance with a simple look-up.
Fees for house histories are as follows:
- $25: research assessment (basic outline)
- $500: 15 hours of research, includes an in-depth house history write-up in PDF format
- $750: 15 hours or more of research and includes an in-depth write up in PDF format
- $1,000: 15 hours or more of research and includes an in-depth write up to be printed in a book format
We accept cash, credit card or check. Checks should be made out to “Ridgewood Public Library”. The deposit needs to be received prior to any research being conducted, and can be dropped off at the Reference Desk or mailed to:
